Day 113

A perfect Sunday morning that ventured into early afternoon... spent with great friends, yummy food, lovely weather and kids having a ball playing together.

Special cupcakes made by the talented Val to celebrate some very exciting news... a beautiful couple expecting their first child. It was such a fantastic surprise to hear the news today... huge congratulations Tina and Kim, you will be wonderful parents!

Jacob was very happy to be sitting with Shanika and enjoying some of the icing from her cupcake!

The kids played so beautifully together, it was gorgeous to watch them ... Jacob wanted to be involved and would follow the 'big kids' around.

Loved watching these two in the hammock... as they get older they are forming a lovely bond and playing so well together.

Sam loved this wood puzzle piece. He told me he was making his 'smiling girl' :)

Day 112

I'm all photo'd out today! Most likely due to my excessively long posts lately with way too many photos!

I did however take one photo of the cute new little shoes that my mother in law Sharon bought for Jacob today :)

Today is one of those nice Saturdays where our little family are all home together. We've enjoyed a visit from Sharon, the house is clean, I'm about to spend some time in the kitchen cooking, Sam is riding around outside on his new bike that Daddy bought him this morning, Jacob is sleeping and Lewy is watching footy... so everyone is happy! (Well actually... with the amount of yelling Lewy is doing at the TV, maybe we are not ALL happy?!).

I'm feeling restless lately... restless for the need to take on a new project! I need a new challenge, something to stretch my brain and creativity. I'm looking into doing an online photography course.. which I've actually had my eye on for over a year. Will keep you updated.

Actually, while I'm here rambling away... here is a Black and White HDR I did of our cat Ginge the other day... it's not great, but I did this at 11.30pm one night when I couldn't sleep.

I have my eye on this picture at the moment..... I love it. It's at Ikea... and I want it :)

I have a sneaking suspicion I may have quite a few photos to post up tomorrow after we head out to our best friends place for a catch up :) Watch this space!

Day 111

 Friday = a trip to the park, ice-cream, green grass, sunshine & water.

"What are you looking at huh?!"

This looks much worse that it actually was! Sam thought it was the best fun e.v.e.r!

Lewy joined us at the park after work... I didn't tell Sam that he was coming...his joy was out of this world when he saw Lewy's van pull into the carpark! 

I love these photos of my boys together. I'm so lucky :)

Hot enough today for another splash around in the shell. 

Sorry Wiggles.. I don't think you guys are driving anywhere any more... wave goodbye.. oh you already are!

Day 110

I feel weary today...anyone would think I ran a marathon yesterday, instead of a taking a simple trip into the city! Sam had kindy this morning, so Jacob and I came back home while we waited for him. It was one of those special moments just being with my boy and having some time out together. 

Oh Jacob.. you are an angel. 

Seriously, buddy.. you had a small biscuit and some custard... did any of it manage to make into your belly?! 

One of my most favourites moments.. is when we go to pick up Sam from kindy. When I walk through the door and the exact moment when he recognises me.. that split second.... his face changes, he glows and his smile couldn't get any bigger.... oh wow.. I love it, I can't get enough of it! Then he grabs his 'Bananas In Pyjamas' backpack and runs over to me for a big hug and to show off what he has made that day. To me.. those moments make all the hard times in parenting so worth it.

Today the kids made bunny ears and a little bunny basket .. complete with chocolate Easter eggs inside. The eggs didn't make the car ride home .. Sam gobbled them up in 2 seconds flat :)

I'll do anything to get a sun/sky shot in won't I?! I was laying on the bricks outside ... it was so nice. I did have children crawling over me though and pulling my hair...whenever I lay down, my kids seem to think I've turned into a trampoline!

Another favourite moment? When I come into Jacob's room to get him after he has woken from a nap. He gives me the biggest smile, jumps up and down and babbles with excitement.... I can't get enough of my gorgeous son.

This is why my windows never stay clean...
