Yay for Weekends :)

Dad, you are going to have to pry your camera out of my hands... boy am I going to miss it! Must get my camera fixed, must get my camera fixed!

Another photo shoot tomorrow at work with some residents of the retirement villages... then to photograph the work function this Friday. I love that I can use my love of photography in my paid work! Bonus!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sam... oh my Sam. He starts school very soon. My little boy is growing so fast.
This weekend... so relaxing. Lots of time outside with the boys in the pool, hanging out at home, quality time.. wine :P, nice food.... bliss :)
Ha! Jacob and Marley... who has the better deal here?!
As of tomorrow, only TWO DAYS left of the Project! Oh  my goodness, I cannot wait.. if I wasn't the organiser of this event I would have crashed days ago! You guys are super stars for joining me in this, so proud of you all! (even if you have had little slips, I don't blame you!). Almost there... almost there :)
Night all!
Saturdays...
Sam was so excited this morning.... I've mentioned before I'm sure, how much he loves one of the staff at his daycare, Crystal. Well, they have a very special bond (and she loves Jacob just as much), and it makes me very pleased knowing my boys are being so well cared for and loved by the wonderful Crystal :)
Our bond with Crystal has formed even more, and she organised with me to take Sam out on a special outing today to the movies and out for lunch etc. Sam was beyond excited to have a day out with his favourite girl.
Waiting, waiting....
Crystal... she is as gorgeous on the inside, as she is on the outside...how kind to take her time out on a weekend, after spending all week with children, to be with my boy. She is a star :)
Sam spent the whole day with Crystal and her boyfriend, who was equally as kind and nice, and they spoilt Sam rotten! He came back after a day of the movies, out to McDonalds for lunch, a visit to Crystals' niece who apparently got on so well  with Sam that the afternoon was full of dancing and playing and to end the day he bought home a bag full of toys that they bought for him.
Jacob was very excited to see Crystal when they got home and to play with the toys that they bought back for him also.
What a special day for Sam!
I had an hour or so this morning at home... alone..! Treat! Jacob and Lewy headed to the shops, while Sam and Crystal were gallivanting around the countryside.... and I enjoyed some peace and quiet.
Ahhh, it is HOT. Very very hot ... this heat wave needs to end!
Best way to stay cool.. chill out on the tiles..
Time to take the Christmas banner down?!
It's a balancing act being a parent right? You miss your time alone, but then you miss your children when you are away from them... all at the same time. My children are a part of me... when I'm alone, when I'm at work, when we are apart, when we are together... I think of them always. I can't rest or relax unless I know they are  okay and happy. I wouldn't have it any other way. Caring about others, loving them, putting their needs before your own.... it teaches me on a constant basis of what life is really about.
Happy Days,
Happy Australia Day
I don't know what happened... I thought I'd take a few snaps to share, but a few turned into a whole load... so it might be best to grab a cuppa or a glass of water... even a little snack to help you get through the long post :P
How Australian Are You?  Fun Quiz to do: http://getaway.ninemsn.com.au/quiz.aspx?quizid=4686
Ahh, I got 11/18 is that good enough?! :P
So how did we spend Australia Day?... Doing this.... and it was goooood :)
I saw this on Facebook and it made me smile :)
"YOU KNOW YOU'RE AUSTRALIAN WHEN: You believe that stubbies can either be drunk or worn. You pronounce Melbourne as 'Mel-bin'. You believe that the letter 'l' in Australia is optional, and it's perfectly ok to call it 'Straya'. You think 'Wooloomooloo' is a perfectly reasonable name for a place. You're secretly proud of our killer wildlife. You believe it makes perfect sense for a country to have a... $1 coin thats twice as big as a $2 coin. You understand that 'Wagga Wagga' can be abbreviated to 'Wagga' but 'Woy Woy' cannot be just 'Woy'. Beetroot with your hamburger...of course! You wear ugg boots outside the house. You believe that the more you shorten someone's name, the more you like them. You understand that 'excuse me' can sound rude, but 'scuse me' is always polite. You know what its like to swallow a fly, on occasion via your nose. You know it's not summer until the steering wheel is too hot to handle and a seat belt buckle becomes a pretty good branding iron. You know how to abbreviate every word, all of which usually end in "o": arvo, convo, garbo, metho, milko, muso, servo, smoko, rego, speedo, righto, etc,....you know that there is a universal place called 'Woop Woop' located in the middle of nowhere, no matter where you actually are! And you can understand all of this, had a giggle, and tell all your aussie and international friends. I love Australia!!"
I adore this photo... Lewy was spraying the boys with the hose and they had joy overload :)
Australia Day is not complete in our household without listening to Triple J's The Hottest 100...
Lewy put the hose on the patio roof, so we could enjoy some 'rain' mid afternoon and take away the heat for a few moments.
Remember these??!
To complete a wonderful family day, we enjoyed a BBQ (of course), with this delicious salad....
Poor rose...
What a nice surprise!  It actually rained for real late afternoon! Now I'm enjoying sitting here listening to the rain and thunder. Crazy crazy weather :P
Today was so lovely....
Hope you all had a wonderful day and kept cool!
