Day 340 So this is Christmas..

Christmas Spirit is alive and well in our home! We spent a very special morning with our little family putting up the Christmas tree and decking the place out while listening to Christmas Carols. All safely in the front lounge room of course, so that little fingers don't pull it all apart before the day :P

I've been so excited about setting up this nativity scene. Remember this is the set I bought in the sales last year? Sam said that Baby Jesus is really Baby Jacob :P

I have a good feeling about this Christmas, I'm beyond excited ... we may even attempt Carols by Candlelight again?! Wish us luck, if you remember last years shenanigans we are going to need it! (http://traceyphotoaday.blogspot.com/2010/12/carols-by-candlelight.html)

Special days ahead!,

Day 339 Updates

Hello there!

Are you wondering why I have been so slack at taking photos lately and been relying on the iPhone? No? Well, I'll tell you anyway :P There is a slight technical issue with my camera. This time it's NOT because of my children, true story. Apparently, the shutter won't... well... shut. Talk about not doing it's job properly. All is not lost though however, thanks to Google I've found a way to fix it. I just actually have to do it. So in the mean time we are stuck with iPhone pics.

Time for a Marley update. He is settling in fabulously. Marley, Marls, The Marlster (Lewy was not impressed with this last nickname) is a beautifully natured pup, gets on great with the boys and we all love him to bits :) Such a lovely addition to our family and although Ginge the cat won't admit it, he loves him as well.

Hehe love Dwight, he cracks me up.
Today, while my boys were at daycare and Lewy was doing a cashie job, I spend most of my day gallivanting around the country side running a million errands that needing attending to. It was a productive day. While at a shopping centre I don't usually go to, I ran into our neighbours. They let me know that Marley was a little upset when I left this morning but soon went quiet and obviously went to sleep hehe. Good to know!

Lately, Sam has been saying the funniest things. Eg, today he asked if he could take his hair off and replace it with mine. Ummm, no my lovely, your hair is all yours and attached to your head. I love chatting with Sam, he makes me grin from ear to ear :D

It looks like Jacob is going to graduate into the Toddler room at daycare. Even though he is months off being of age to move up from the Babies room, apparently the staff tell me, my little guy acts like a 2 year old and is more than ready to join the big kids. :P

Project "30 Days Without"... I'm gearing up to get things sorted for the upcoming start date of 2nd January. beyondblue are kindly sending me information packs to pass out to participants/those who donate, so I'll be getting organised soon with gathering names of who wants to be involved. I feel even more passion about this project than ever before. For others to really understand what this illness entails and how we can not only help those who suffer from it but to also support those who are trying to help someone through it. Depression/Anxiety affects so many, not just those who suffer from it personally.. but those who love them and care about them. I'm so happy to be putting my energy into something so important.

Good things are coming...

Happy Days!

Day 338 My Day

It's Murphy's Law..... when you finally find some time in a busy morning to sit down with some toast and a much needed coffee, only then do your kids decide that they desperately need a drink and more breakfast (because they have seen how good yours looks).

Darn that Murphy and his annoying Law! :P

I did finish my breakfast in the end, and then spent some time reading this book to Jacob. Not once, but roughly about 100 times. I think it's safe to say Jacob is a fan of this particular book. I did try to entice him into reading 'Josephine Wants To Dance' but for some reason he wasn't interested in a kangaroo that wants to be a ballerina.

Ginge no swiping! Marley and Ginge having a moment. I think our cat secretly loves having a new member of the family who is smaller than him, they chase each other around acting like little kids... it's pretty cute to watch. Hey, I think I subconsciously colour coordinated our pets. They also match in with the wood decor in our home. :P

I love this!

Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu & Missy Higgins - Live at the 2011 ARIA's.

Amazing how an old pot with dirt and rocks in it, together with a BBQ utensil thingy can provide loads of entertainment!

That's all folks! I need to be in bed... sweet dreams xx

Day 335 & 336

I think this last bout of depression fried my brain. :P I sat down last night to post and ended up staring at this screen for way too long with total writers block. So I gave up and watched a DVD instead.

Long story short, the cloud has passed. It's a strange feeling this depression, as when the cloud passes - it's like I'm back to normal just like that. One minute the cloud is there and I'm stuck in a deep black hole, next minute it's gone and it's like it never happened.  I say minute but when the cloud is there it feels like it lasts about 1 year, even though it's just been a couple of weeks.  It's always a massive relief when it passes. I can breathe again. :)

Now for my brain cells to start working again!

All is good.

Just a short post for today, lots to do and not much time!

Happy Days!

Day 331 - 334 Back

Well I'm back. Here and almost myself again.. almost :-/ One day at a time... one day at a time. I'll write a bit more later on about what's been going on, but for right now I need all my brain cells to focus on getting me through each day so I can't spare any to write a deep and meaningful post about my 'adventure'. :P

You must try this recipe, passed onto me by Izzie... it's a keeper. So easy to make, taste overload and pretty good for you as far as pizza goes!

My overnight stay in Mandurah has been extended for one more night... Sam and I are having a great time and looking forward to our reunion with Jacob and Lewy tomorrow.

Watching the sun go down.

Cupcakes made with love by Sam.

This is the life right?! Mum, Dad and Sam went to the pools while I had some alone time... putting my feet up and watching 7th Heaven. :P

Thanks all for your love and support... love you guys!
