Day 329 Jacob & Puppy

Today oozed special memories.

My fantastic parents organised the perfect Naming Ceremony and Lunch for our beautiful Jacob. Dad spoke sweet words and blessings over our littlest boy and afterwards we enjoyed a delicious spread made by Mum.

Jacob with Aunty Sindy

Aunty Pam, Cousin Caleb, Aunty Sindy, Chef Sam and Daddy holding a beer.
Dad is a Celebrant, and I can't imagine anyone better for this role. He speaks from the heart, with emotion and truth and brings a special touch to an event that can't be taught. Love you Dad, thank you for a beautiful ceremony for Jacob :)

Mum as always, provided a gorgeous spread for our lunch. I didn't take many photos as I was too busy stuffing my face. :P

A very special and meaningful celebration. My heart is full.

Just when we thought the day couldn't get any better, we received a call that we could go today to pick up our newest family member! Say Hello to Marley! He is so beautiful and my boys obviously adore him already.

Kiss, kiss
Marley has already taken to my boys, looks like I have 3 little ones now!

Jacob played Peek-a-boo with Marley, does it get any cuter than that?!

Expect thousands more photos of our lovely boy in the days to come!

To end a basically perfect day, we had a BBQ dinner and now that the boys are in bed and I'm almost finished with this post, Marley and me have plans to watch a DVD together :P As I write this, he is sleeping on a blanket with his head on my feet under the table. Oh I think I'm going to enjoy this little one :)

Happy Days,

Day 328 Highlights

Highlights from yesterday:

1. Visiting Lisa, having lunch together, having chocolate cup cakes for a treat, drinking coffee and talking. Although I'm pretty sure I did more talking than Lisa did :-/ :P

2. Dinner last night with Lewy and my father in law Alan at our favourite Indian Restaurant - Punjab. It's always a good night when I get to wear my favourite heels and the gorgeous new earrings my mother in law gave me :)

It's a big weekend for us, a very exciting weekend. Be back later tonight with today's post.

Day 327 Confession

I completely forgot that I needed to update the blog with today's post... in all my excitement with the official launch of the Project :P

Thanks already guys for getting on board so soon and posting the link of your Facebook walls, and all your great comments etc, it is very much appreciated!

Would you believe, I received a donation within 10 minutes of sending out the brochure! Isn't that fantastic? My boss quickly donated to the cause and started the fund off. I'm so excited to see how this all pans out.

-------------

I have a little confession to make. It seems to be an appropriate time to make this confession actually. For the last week or so I have been struck down again with a bout of depression. It came out of nowhere and bowled me over. I know some of you will read this and be shocked considering I have been putting on a happy face pretending I am totally fine, which is my usual form of dealing with it. But, it would be hypocritical of me to hide my depression considering I am passionate about bringing it out into the open through the Project.

So that's where I am at. I will be fine and it will pass. It always does. It's just a matter of putting one foot in front of the other and taking each day as it comes until the cloud lifts. That darn cloud.

-------------

Right, that's it for today... onwards and forwards!

Project "30 Days Without"

The time has arrived! I'm so excited to be able to share this project with you guys. Mental health is an area I (for obvious reasons :P) feel very passionate about lending my hand to support and help with raising awareness.

Here is the official brochure:

Don't forget to send through a Friend Request on the Facebook Page, so you can stay updated with all of our progress (although I'm pretty sure it's going to be a regular topic on the blog!).

If I haven't emailed you with a copy of the Brochure yet, it's because I don't have your email address on my new laptop (thanks to losing my contacts). So don't hesitate to email me through the contact page at the top if you want to receive a copy of the brochure to forward onto your contacts. The more the merrier!

In other news... Jacob has been crying all morning and without thinking I used up the last of the milk for his bottle, so now he is back in bed and I am without coffee. :-/ I could really use that coffee!

Day 326 When The Whistle Blows

Stunning weather, perfect day for an outing to Whiteman Park for a train ride.

This makes me laugh... :P Funny Jacob.

The train driver was fantastic, he took Sam to sit in the Drivers Seat and showed him a few of the gadgets and how it works.  We were the only people on the train so we got special attention :)

Check out the ticket machine!

Trains make little ones sleepy....

We had a picnic lunch, complete with birds trying to snatch the crumbs left over from the boys, or in Jacob's case, the entire sandwich as  he kept throwing it to them willingly.....

and a quick stop at the playground afterwards.

I love that we live so close to Whiteman Park. The boys had a great time and so did we!

------------

Darn this new book I'm reading! I cannot put it down. Last night, although I was so tired... I found myself turning page after page in a trance. I even managed to get ready for bed, brush my teeth etc, all without putting the book down. Ken Follett = one talented writer. Before you read 'A Dangerous Fortune' though, you still have to read 'Pillars of The Earth' & 'World Without End' ... go on, start reading! I promise you'll love it :D

Day 325 River viewing

How's this for a view? See that lone bench down by the river? I sat there this morning all by myself, with the sun shining on me, in the peace and quiet, listening to the water splashing against the bank, camera in hand. I needed the time out and it was bliss. :X

That's all for today my friends, enjoy this beautiful day!
