Amazing how your brain actually works when you don't have any 'little people' distractions! It was a fantastic way to start the day. Praying, thinking, processing, planning... I felt so refreshed when Jacob finally did wake. It was so good I'm tempted to start all of my days the same way! (Maybe :)

... I had cleaned the whole house, vacuumed, brought in the washing and put away, hung out another 2 loads of washing, swept the patio and tidied the toys...
So after all that I had this...
...which was another great kick start to the day!

Me and my boys are becoming quite the Park enthusiasts. Today's weather was so unbelievably stunning, I knew we had to get out and enjoy it!
So, we headed out for a picnic lunch and fun at the playground.
A little boy came to play, his parents were visiting at the Aged Care Home next door to the park..... anyway Sam was chatting away to the boy and getting no response.... I heard Sam say "Why aren't you talking back to me?" Oh melt my heart. This must have give the little boy the courage to chat back and from then on they played happily and talked away until his Dad came to collect him.
Sam says the funniest things. After the park we headed to the shops to buy food for dinner.. Sam picked up a copy of 'The Quokka' and said he wanted me to buy it as he "needed something to read" :)
I stalled the car as I was pulling out of our parking spot (I know). Sam said "That's wasn't very good driving was it Mummy?" Ha! No dear, it certainly was not :)
I want to live on this street... a nice quiet cul-de-sac, with the beautiful park at the end.... love!

Strange right?! Considering it's not even me eating the Satay Chicken! I love Satay, no problems there. But I cannot bring myself to make the dish. Want to know why?
When I was pregnant with Jacob (and eating meat) and so ill with morning sickness, one night we had Satay Chicken.... I couldn't stomach it and ever since then I just can't stand the thought of it! I can have Satay on anything else, in any other combination... but even cooking up Satay Chicken for the boys? CAN'T DO IT! Maybe I should have put that as one of my 8 fears ha!

Tonight, I'm looking forward to a yummy dinner ... Chicken, Cherry Tomato & Bacon dish for the boys and a Pumpkin, Spinach and Chickpea Satay for me - sounds delicious right?! Then, curling up in bed and watching a DVD.
What good DVD have you watched lately?
Have a great evening all! xx
